hi i have acer laptop and its screen is flickerin like hell how can i repair that!!!

ok i get it when i got a macbook pro they offered to take my vaio off my hands for free i took it but kept the harddrive and optical drive and used it to fix my friend up with 10.6 on his 2008 macbookair

Well, we don’t even have that laptop anymore…and the one we replaced it with actually does have 7, so….there ya go!
id say load 7 on it but you will have to clean install thats the catch
Probably Vista compatible, it definitely didn’t have Vista on it.
the reason i said that is i seen a vista basic badge on it or was it xp vista capable
That particular laptop used XP. With any change in OS, of course I would do a clean install. This just needed some system updates because it had been inactive for so many months.
replace vista with 7 you will have to clean install ok
i have a HP pavilion dv6000 umm and i have a little black thingy on the bottom write of my screen its kind of the size of a quarter but a little bigger. will it go away or will it stay like that? at first it was bigger now it got smaller and there are some colorfull lines on the top. this kinda helped me. now im not guilty. my moms gonna kill me. you should see my dad when hes mad at me. thx

man windows update is a pain in the ass……i bought a new comp and i was just doing updates for like a good hour or two…lol

Hi I have a problem with my pc I have a Vaio F113FX and the problem is that when I turn the computer on the green ligths is fine,but suddenly the backligth in the keyboard turns on even if there is light but my screen stays dark like if I never turne my pc on,also I tooked the battery and left the ac cord plug to my pc I press the turn on button and my pc can turn on without a battery PLEASE I NEED HELP PLEASE
i just installed a new lcd screen on the lenovo S10 series, and the screen shows a solid red,green,white,blue screen and then keeps going through this cycle. I have checked the lcd cables on the mother board and the one that connects to the lcd,but no luck. I do get display on the external monitor…
i can hear windows running in the back ground.

google “Acer TravelMate 2480-2943 replacement screen” and click shopping… looks like they run 100-150 rather cheep for a screen, also ebay it, just remember replacement screens are fragile and very easy to break…

my laptop screen wont work its not that its broken or anything the laptop itself works but when i turn it on a white screen with some designs comes up and i cant do anything because all i can see is the white screen anybody no what the problem is my friend mention that it could be the video card so what am i supposed to do?

I got 1, laptop hp pavillion starts and window logo starts and then blue screen error come on saying there could be an error, ive had the motherboard checked and harddrive checked and there both fine, could this be a ram issue???

I guess it would be possible but I’m not sure how you would go about doing that.
it is the high voltage inverter in the back of the lcd, if the monitor still has output Via the vga then the video card is fine, instead of replacing a whole lcd do an ebay search for a high voltage inverter for your laptop, it controls all backlighting and is a very common thing to go out amongst laptops i have had replace a few in my time.
is it posible to take a “ripped” lcd notebook monitor and convert it to a vga lcd monitor?

Hit the FN key and the function for LCD/VGA Switch! It had probably been switched to VGA only (External) instead of Simultaneous.
this problem is probably the high voltage inverter located on the back of the lcd that controls the backlight led
