What is going on when my laptop screen gets all fuzzy?

I have a 5 year old HP Pavilion laptop. For the last few days, when I open the laptop up, the screen has all of these lines on it and everything is all jumbled and fuzzy. It changes as I move the screen backwards or forwards. If I get the screen at just the right position, it goes back to normal. Any idea what could be going on and how it can be fixed? How do I fix my laptop screen? My son sprayed orange oil all over it?

I have an Hp laptop. My son spray about 3 to 4 oz. of orange oil directly on the screen. I don’t know how the oil got inside the screen but it’s all dark and weird looking now. Can anyone help?

And yes, I letf the laptop out and the orange oil. My husband is furious.
