HELP dell laptop d630 Screen went all black I can see the icons but its really dark?

Hey I have a big problem I was working on my laptop and left for a min and when I came back my neice was playing on the computer. At fist I thought she turned it of but then I realized ethe screen was all black I can see the Icons but its like the back light went out is extremely dark and I can barley see anything. Can anyone help?

   The backlight on your monitor died.
   The backlight is usually replaceable, but could cost you some money to repair. You will need to get it back to the shop to be repaired. Hopefully you still have warranty.

   Try holding down the function key and hitting the up arrow key.

   Back light is bad. Will need to be replaced. You can find a replacement on ebay for about $100
