Dell Inspiron 1501 black screen help

At start up it the screen suddenly goes blank. I put in my windows os cd and try to boot from CD but nothing happens. Please help. … black screen laptop inspiron error

   I think I have this same problem too. My screen goes black after I turned on my pc for 4 secs. I hooked up to an external monitor and it worked fine. Any suggestion to this problem?

   dang my fricking enter doesnt works, first it doesnt works when i click it then like in 5 minutes my enter goes reallly damn crazzy it doesnt stops, and actually my enter button dosnt looks bad… wtf..

   Your Hard drive is failing or at least has a disk error. The best thing to do is contact dell support. If your warranty has expired goto a computer technician or a facility to get your computer repaired. My laptop has the same issue.

   If your BIOS isn’t 2.6.3, you should get it there. If it is 2.6.3, It is possible that your hard drive is corrupted.

   hit f12 at the start menu then click boot from cd or something like that
