HELP dell laptop d630 Screen went all black I can see the icons but its really dark?

Hey I have a big problem I was working on my laptop and left for a min and when I came back my neice was playing on the computer. At fist I thought she turned it of but then I realized ethe screen was all black I can see the Icons but its like the back light went out is extremely dark and I can barley see anything. Can anyone help?

why does my laptop screen and all the icons get stretched out after i connect it to a TV?

Hi all, I have a Toshiba Satellite M105 that runs Windows XP media center edition Everytime i plug it to my TV using a video cable, the screen, windows, and icons will get stretched out/enlarged after i unplug it from the TV. Any ideas as to how i return it to normal? Thanks a lot!
